Fans of canceled television shows from the 1980s and 1990s will soon have new material to comfort them. NBCUniversal is partnering with Lion Forge Comics, a digital publisher, to develop comics for several series of yore. The first wave of announced comics are “Airwolf,” which ran from 1984 to 1987, “Knight Rider” (1982-1986), “Miami Vice” (1984-1989), “Punky Brewster” (1984-86) and “Saved by the Bell” (1989-1993). “Airwolf,” which will be available in September, will be the first of the series released.
